Huntzinger congratulates Ed Kopetsky for being named the 2018 John E. Gall Jr. CIO of the Year. Kopetsky is the CIO of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Stanford Children’s Health.
The award was announced January 7 by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). The award is given annually to a CIO who has shown significant leadership and commitment to the healthcare industry during his or her career. The recipient is selected jointly by the boards of CHIME and HIMSS.
“On behalf of Huntzinger and Next Wave Health Advisors, I congratulate Ed on being recognized as the CHIME/HIMSS Healthcare CIO of the Year” stated Huntzinger’s executive vice president and partner, William C. Reed. “I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing Ed for more than 30 years, and can’t think of a more deserving recipient.” Reed added, “Ed has been a consistent HIT thought leader and mentor, as evidenced by his most recent leadership role with the Opioid Task Force. Huntzinger and Next Wave Health Advisors are honored to have Ed as one of our most esteemed colleagues.”
