Lynn Vogel, Ph.D. is a highly accomplished healthcare information technology executive, business leader, and educator.

Prior to joining The Advisors, Dr. Vogel was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (UT-MDACC) in Houston, Texas. He has also served in CIO and VP leadership positions at Healthlink, The University of Chicago Hospitals, and at Mount Sinai Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Healthcare in New York City.

Dr. Vogel has held academic appointments as Associate Professor (Bioinformatics and Computational Biology) at UT-MDACC, as Adjunct Associate Professor (Management) at The University of Texas School of Public Health, and as Assistant Professor (Biomedical Informatics) at Columbia University (New York). Dr. Vogel previously served on the faculties of The City University of New York and The University of Chicago, and served for a number of years on the faculty of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) CIO Boot Camp.

Lynn Vogel has served on the National Cancer Institute’s National Cancer Advisory Board ad hoc Informatics Working Group, was a Member and Fellow (FHIMSS) of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), is a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) and a member of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). He is a Fellow (FCHIME) and Life Fellow (LCHIME) of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), where he was a Charter Member, and previously served as Board Member and Board Chair. Dr. Vogel has served as a member of the External Advisory Board of the Center for Advanced Information Management, Department of Biomedical Informatics, Columbia University, and currently serves as an elected Director of Aseko, Inc., parent company of Glytec, a clinical technology company specializing in glycemic management software.

Dr. Vogel’s education at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level was completed at The University of Chicago.
