Aaron Wootton

Aaron Wootton brings more than 20 years of experience working with health information technology. As the Chief Digital Officer for Huntzinger, Wootton leads the areas of consumer-facing digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and telemedicine and specializes in developing organizational analytic capabilities as the supporting structure for digital transformation.

During his healthcare career, Wootton has served as the CIO of Concord Hospital, VP & CIO of Allegiance Health, and as Regional CIO Central Market within Henry Ford Health. In his most recent role as CIO of Concord Hospital, he successfully created a system-wide governance structure and maturity model for Concord’s digital front door capabilities, guiding the planning and implementation. During his time with Henry Ford, Wootton held responsibility for the enterprise analytics function across the health system.  Throughout his career, he has had a particular focus on value-based care, analytics and health information exchange, including serving as the CEO of the Community Health Technology Network, an organization in Michigan dedicated to delivering technology services that aid in improving the health of communities. Wootton also led all IT joint ventures during his time at Henry Ford Health, giving him a unique understanding of how to position non-traditional healthcare partners to deliver on specialized care models while preserving systemness.

Wootton is a member of CHIME and holds certifications as a Chief Digital Health Executive (CDH-E) and CHCIO. He has a Bachelor’s in Management of Information Systems and a Master’s in Business Administration from Cleary University. Wootton has served on a number of boards and committees throughout his career, including the Board of Michigan Health Information Network (MIHIN), Chair of the MIHIN cyber security committee, and Chair of Truveta’s Data Integration Committee.
