Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is travel required?
A: Travel is dependent on the type of work you are completing at that time. If you are hired in the role of a consultant and are not in the location of our client, there will be travel involved. The amount of travel will be determined by your client assignment; however, you should be prepared to fly/drive to your assigned client site Monday morning and return to your home Thursday evening and work remotely on Friday.

Q: Will I be reimbursed for travel?
A: Yes. All travel-related expenses, including air fare, car rental, lodging expenses, and meals, will be reimbursed per HMG’s policy.

Q: How am I assigned to projects?
A: Projects are assigned based upon your skills and knowledge to support our client’s needs.

Q: Will I be provided with a computer?
A: This is dependent upon your relationship with HMG. If you are an HMG employee, you will be provided with a company laptop. If you are a subcontractor of HMG, you will supply your own.

Q: Does HMG pay for expenses incurred while working out of my home office?
A: Yes. Home office expenses, including internet, phone, printing supplies, etc., are reimbursed per HMG’s policy.

Q: Will I receive a corporate cell phone?
A: No, not unless required by your assigned client. If required, HMG will reimburse you for your personal cell phone usage per HMG policy, unless otherwise determined by leadership.

Q: As a traveling consultant, does it matter where I reside?
A: No. HMG recruits across the United States and, when possible, matches the consultant’s skills with the client’s geographic location.

Q: Does HMG reimburse for Professional License and Registrations?
A: Yes. With prior approval from leadership, HMG reimburses for Professional Licenses and Registrations that are applicable to the job.

Q: What can I expect during the interview process?
A: Our Director of Recruiting will be your first and main contact during the interview process. Our Recruiter will complete the initial interview with you and determine if you will move to the next stage of our process. If you move to stage two, a phone or Skype interview will be scheduled with one or more of our consultants with similar backgrounds. This will provide you the opportunity to get to know HMG better. If it is determined that you will move to the third and final stage, you will be interviewed by an HMG executive.

Q: If I’m selected, will there be an orientation?
A: Yes. All employees complete one hour of orientation (phone or Skype when location prohibits in person) with HMG’s Human Resource Manager within their first week of employment.
